Depending upon what type of electric circuits you are trying to draw, LTSpice might work for you.
LTSpice is a spice circuit simulator with a built in schematic editor. There is a new OS X native version available at http://ltspice.linear-tech.com/LTspiceIV.dmg. It takes a little practice to get going, but it can be very quick to draw schematics once you are used to it. In addition you can simulate the circuit after it is drawn and easily view the voltage and current waveforms that would result in the circuit.
Fritzing is interesting.
It'll take a design from schematic to breadboard to pcb.
It's an Open source project. I haven't used it a lot yet, but it's on my to do list.
