Any Good/Free App...

... to make simple cuts, crops, and resizes of photos. Say I want to take a .jpg file of the iPhone and copy only the "Home" Button and make that button a separate .jpg file. Can I do this pretty simply without paying for an overpowering app like Photoshop that I don't really need.

You can do this with Preview...just open the picture, select the bit you want and press Command+K...

Chocoflop and Seashore are simple editing tools if you want other things...

Yep. Though if you want to resize an image, you may have to download a third-party app. I think iPhoto can resize too (not totally sure).

I believe "sips" command in Terminal can do resizing, but I don't remember the syntax well. If you need it, I can get back to you once I get back home.
