Any good front port replicators?

I purchased a slimkey stand with the USB 2.0 hub in it from Macessity. The stand is okay, but the usb hub is god awful. Even though it is powered, if I have my iPhone charging on a port, the next set of ports don't have enough juice left to power a lacie USB drive. Lame for a powered hub.

So now I'm looking for other solutions people may have. Suggestions?
