any good site to find a cheap airline ticket?

I've tried them all the popular site and all the prices were compatible (US$500 range). I'm hoping for US$300 or less.... Is there any auction or some other way to find a really good deal on line?

I've never found any of the other sites (Expedia, Orbitz, etc) cheaper than just booking directly through the airline. I always use Kayak to search for prices and the airline just ends up being the cheapest.

Same for me. Give Kayak or priceline a quick look and then just book directly through the airline which is the same price or cheaper than "discount" travel sites.

Just keep checking. As you get closer to the departure date, and the seats are limited, the price drops.
