With all these bogus new plans for AT&T and Verizon, are we going to see a rise in price for the iPhone 5? What do you people think the cost of these phones are going to be? I have $400 ready to go and am a little worried that It might not be enough, I'm wanting to get the one with the largest storage possible.

I'd say the unsubsidized price will probably be the same as the current iPhone.

How on earth could anyone know this... Best waiting for real information than random speculation

400 would be enough if you have an upgrade. 64GB 4S is $399 plus tax and whatever upgrade fee. I don't see why they would change the pricing model now.

I'm planning to buy a 64GB iPhone 5, I hope its no more than £700 sim free (price of the current model 64giger). Any more and its getting a little silly for a cellphone.

I hope, Apple gets rid of the 16GB and offers:

32GB - $299 contract / $649 unlocked
64GB - $399 / $749
128GB $499 / $849

Can't see them getting rid of a 16GB model due to the price they can put on it - still need to at least try and compete with low-end Android devices - the price of a 32GB model would be too high for entry-level smartphone buyers therefore a poor move on Apples part.

However, I would like to see a 128GB model make an appearance, even if it is in the £800-900 mark - give customers the choice.

with the cost of memory lower, anyone think the base model will be 32gb for 199? Thats my guess.

I'd like to think that Apple will finally make the Base Model the 32GB, but it probably won't happen. Also, don't forget that AT&T raised the "You should pay for the privilege of us locking you into a new 2-Year contract so you can pay us for 2 years" fee. It is now I believe $36, so you can go ahead and tack that on. I for one plan to dispute it, I have had AT&T since the days of Southwestern Bell and have never once paid an upgrade fee.

They just added 64gb last year. We won't see 128gb this year. And probably not next year either.
