Hi,

I was looking at various laptops at Best Buy the other day and I was struck at how nice the HP Spectre and Dell XPS laptops looked with the thin bezels and smaller footprint designs.

I was just wondering if there were any rumors on the MacBook Air being re-designed to something similar? I'm guessing probably at least another 2 years since Apple is more interested in software optimization and such. Overall I'm happy with my MacBook that I bought about a year and a half ago, so no rush or anything like that.

Thanks

Based on the upcoming MacBook Air battery photo from KTR, we know the ARM version won't be redesigned.

I'd say a redesign won't happen until late 2021 at the earliest.

If an Apple Silicon version is released at end of the year or first part of 2021 I wonder if they would also update the webcam to 1080.

I also think they would need to release the Macbook Pro version as well if the ARM makes the MBA faster ?

Late 2021 makes sense. Either that or Apole will keep the same Macbook Air design for like 9 years like last time lol. HOPEFULLY NOT though since the laptop competition is coming up with newer and sleeker designs. That being said, the MacBook Air I have is a very very good machine, so I’m keeping it a while.

No 1080 webcam. The front facing camera module from the iPhone is significantly thicker than the Macbook lid
