iPod Any help gratefully received

My nano works well. However, was trying to clean up the pc a couple of weeks ago, and now itunes loads, but it doesn't play, and the song length does not move nor does anything happen when I try and press play.

Any ideas as to what may have happened?

So just to confirm, it's iTunes that's having problems, right? The iPod is absolutely fine? Since it's on a PC, have you tried reinstalling iTunes?
