Any holiday sales on macbooks? I know I know :-)

I was just curious if any one things, knows or from past experiences has seen apple offer holiday sales or such? Looking at purchasing a laptop for my mother this December and was hoping maybe apple would offer some kind of holiday sales or package on the new macbooks. I highly doubt it but figured I would float it out there to see if they have done it in the past.

A search on this website reveals that consumer computers were discounted between $51 and $101.

Why not just cruise on over to the refurb site and pick up a legacy MBP for just a couple hundred more than the entry uni macbook?

Probably not Apple store themselves. Other resellers may have some packages. I remember in the past, someone (Bestbuy?) offered free Air Superdrives with purchase of MBA.

i read somewhere that that deal was on the previous version of the MB and not the current vesrion and it was a mistake on their part

This week, Bestbuy has a sale of: $50 to $150 dollars off a purchase of any Mac computer. It doesn't include Power Price or Outlet Items.

For example:

2.1 GHz White Macbook is $899.
2.4 GHz Aluminum Macbook is $1449.

MAN that fry's sale is awesome. Makes me wonder if I should have waited to see if ebay might offer better coupons, or what amazon would offer. I currently ordered mine with Live cashback on ebay.
