If anyone is interested, I have a couple simple ideas for "improving" the Yosemite icons, but I deeply lack the skill set to implement them.
I like the new icon style, but I don't like how intensely blue they are. Everything else in the interface is translucent, blurred, and light - and then those bright blue icons. However, I noticed that Apple themselves have a different style for iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, and think it would look fantastic:
In the same vein of minor tweaks, if anyone could recreate the "original" Finder icon from the pre-DP1 Yosemite (it showed up on Apple.com at the DP launch, and has the new feel and design, but the original aspect ratio). The new aspect ratio just looks... wrong.
