iPad Any idea if SwitchEasy is making an iPad air case?

Greetings all,

This is my first post to MacRumors. Nice to meet you all.

I just bought my iPad Air yesterday and I love it. However, I am not impressed by the iPad Air Smart Case that Apple has as the case. It falls over all the time.

Back when I had my mini, I really loved the case I had from the company SwitchEasy. However, when I went to their website, there is no mention of any case for the iPad Air.

I'll call them tomorrow and ask, but does anyone have any ideas?

I emailed them on Friday and got this as a response on Saturday

Dear Sir/Madam,

we will be having new CoverBuddy, Pelle, CARA and CANVAS for the new iPad Air.

They should be available online at www.switcheasy.com next week!

So hopefully soon. I'm looking forward to the cover buddy again.
 
Waiting patiently for the Canvas. I bought the Apple case and it's horrible.

I had a Canvas on my mini, but it almost doubled the weight. So, I'm trying to find something similar to the Canvas but much lighter for the Air. The Canvas was awesome though, despite the heaviness.
 
Debating whether to get a Coverbuddy or not after both the ones I had on my iPad3 fell apart with no harsh treatment whatsoever :(

Got the same response. She said they were supposed to come in over the weekend. Waiting for them to update the site. Would imagine they will shortly.
 
Great news. Planning on getting a red cover buddy.

Do the coverbuddys usually match the colour of the apple smart covers well?

I was hoping for the same thing and asked them on FB. They responded that they're not allowed to say until HQ has updated the website.

Also keeping an eye out on Loop Attachment to release a Mummy for the Air... I guess whichever of the two companies announces first, gets my custom xD
 
I got an email from Switcheasy yesterday and they said the Canvas would be out soon. No dates on the coverbuddy or any others.

I believe the same. 72g is comparable only with a smart cover! previous canvas was about 260-290g.

it should be a mistake. Cause with just a plastic back cover it already weight around 72g...

How can the whole Canvas be just 72g, it too light to be true.
 
Just ordered the Switcheasy Canvas from their website yesterday. A little disconcerting that their is no order acknowledgement sent out by Switcheasy. Was going to call them today, but recived a shipping notification in the morning .. will let you know how good the case is when I get it.
 
On another thread, someone posted that they contacted Switcheasy about the weight of the canvas case for the Ipad Air and were told it weighs 10.8 oz.
 
Anyone have any more news on the coverbuddy for the air? I emailed customer services but haven't had a reply for a week

Here is the response I got last night

Unfortunately we still haven't received a confirmed release date, but there will be CoverBuddy for the iPad Air for sure.

Same here. I had a CoverBuddy and within months, the corner cracked. I received a free replacement from SwitchEasy but that one cracked even quicker than the first. I never dropped my iPad.
