Hey everyone--

Here is a picture of my macbook's screen, and it's flickering a bit :(

The dimmer light still brightens and dims the screen, but all I see are the lines.

This happened after setting it down on a table, not super gently I admit, but not harshly by any means. It has been through much worse for instance.

Anyway, has anyone seen this before? and what do you think is the problem?

GPU? Screen connectors?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Looks like your no so gently drop may have damaged something unfortunately. Probably with the display panel though I cannot say for sure. Either way it needs to be repaired and in both cases its will be expensive

Bummers :(

Thanks, I guess I'm looking for an indication whether or not it would be worth opening up and looking for a loose connector, or whether the board is pooched, or what.

Hoping someone has had a similar experience and could provide any insight.

Thanks again in advance!

Those connectors are secured pretty tight but at this stage, it may not hurt anything by cracking it open and verifying it.
