Icon View in Finder is pretty badly dysfunctional IMHO. By this I mean, you open a folder in icon view and it uses very small icons and flows the content to fit as many columns as possible into the current window (so no horizontal scrollbar).

If you enlarge the icons it doesn't reflow the content to fit, it retains the same number of columns and adds a horizontal scrollbar meaning you have to scroll it both directions to view the content.

Also, when deleting a file, it doesn't reflow the content to shuffle the remaining icons up it leaves holes where the deleted file was - deleting a large number of consecutive files leaves great areas of whitespace.

Is it any better in 10.9?
