I think I'm going to be getting a Macbook in the coming months after or at the release of Leopard, and I was wondering whether anyone is expecting a processor speed bump or some incremental update to the Macbook when Leopard is released?

I was just thinking that maybe when Leopard is introduced they would bump the processors up to 2.0 and 2.16 rather than the current 1.8whatever and 2.0. anyone think this is probable?

I don't think the MacBook will be updated for another 6 - 8 months as it's a pretty strong value for money offer as it is now processor and RAM wise.

It all depends on when leopard is released. On the other hand, if you want to wait you can get a bumped MacBook with leopard and iLife '07 in 6-8 months.

Not even slight processor bumps? They've done it like 3 times already on the MBP?

All depends on where the Merom with the 667MHz FSB tops out.

But the next chipset 965/Crestline should be coming soon enough also.

i expect a bump to at least 2.0, 2.16. i think some faster stuff will be announced at MWSF but my 2.0 MBP is pretty friggin fast as it is (w/ 2GB RAM, though).
