Hey! I know that’s a premature question, but I need to decide whether I will shove up another 170€ up Apples ass, to get the 256GB of storage (which I really would like to avoid):

Since I like doing hobby movie projects, Im interested what video bitrates the iPhone will be capable off. I’m using filmic pro now and then, which goes up to 130Mbit/s as far as I know. Now im not sure whether this will stay the same with the 3 simultaneous camera takes and whether even higher bitrates will be supported in extreme mode, since the iPhone seems to become more capable with its processing in th 4K60fps mode.

Im also interested whether Apple will raise the current 56? MBps in their HEVC compression using their native app, which I will use for the spontaneous shootings on my trips.

Finally, Im wondering, with all the metainformation from all the 3 cameras, how much space a picture will take up. Im definitely gonna enable this, since it happens often on a trip that I screw up the framing which I only realise once going through it at the hotel.

In the end, all of this is just important so I know whether 64GB will be enough. With all the apps and system memory, there will be 50GB left tops, which is barely 1 hour of filmic pro material and 3 hours of normal video material. That’s not much, but it would be even worse if the Bitrate was higher, since i definitely wouldn’t miss out on giving my footage more space for details.

If anyone has informations or even grounded assumptions on this topic, I would be interested.

66mb/s in 4k 60 fps EDR! In camera setting is an information that 400 MB for 1 imunte of video in 4k 60 EDR.
My phone cand do better than that...
