I normally upgrade my iPhone every year, but I won’t be this year. I just don’t see a huge enough difference to justify an upgrade. The 11 Pro Max is already a beast. I think next year’s iPhone will be a worthy upgrade with the rumored 120Hz refresh rate, finger print sensor and possible removal of the notch. I still have 97% battery capacity and get 9+ hours of screen on time.

I am really struggling with upgrading this year. Battery life is the most important thing to me and the 11 Pro Max has better battery life than the 12 Pro Max. I did order the 12 Pro Max as blue is my favorite color and this is the first year there is a blue color option for the highest end iPhone. I hope they come out with a 12 Pro Max smart battery case soon.

I have 97% battery health on my 11 Pro Max as well. I'm not upgrading. Aside from the Qualcomm modem, there is nothing I want from the 12 Pro Max. I abhor the square shape, 5G is still in infancy, all these complaints about a yellow screen (I had to play screen lottery with my 11 PM), and lower mAh doesn't appeal.

I'll likely be with this device for 3-4 years.

I wasn't going to, but my wife's 8+ is giving up the ghost. She's going to take my 11PM and I will have the 12PM that arrives next week. Win/win! LOL

I decided to upgrade from my 11PM, mainly after I got my wife a 12 Pro, and it was hard to resist the square edges. Even she keeps saying she really likes the square sides, and we both loved the old 4 and 5 series iPhones, so I upgraded and will pass my 11PM down to one of our kids who has been using my X for the past year.

In my case, I’ll get the trade-in $700 credit from AT&T on his X, so it was an easier decision to make.

I decided to upgrade. One of my biggest regret last year was being impatient and buying the 64gb because it was the only one in stock at the nearest apple store. Thought I could manage but nope. I bought the regular 12 to try it out and I was surprised that I had 5G in my area and it was blazing fast. I couldn’t deal with the smaller screen so I sent it back and now I’m just waiting for Friday for my 12 PM.

I have 11 Pro Max, but decided to downsize and chose to go with 11 Pro. My wife is getting my 11 Pro Max to replace her 8+. I always have a case on my phone so the squared off designed, while looks great, is not enough to swing me to get into unknown territory with 1st gen 5g tech. I will gladly upgrade my 11 Pro next year, and pass my 11 Pro to my daughter.

I was looking forward to the iPhone 12 lineup earlier this year, especially the leap Apple made with battery life and design last year with the iPhone 11/11 Pro series. I expected them to build upon the almost-perfect 11 Pro Max.

But I have to say that I am quite unimpressed with how Apple approached this year’s iPhones. I love the flat design of the 12 Pro Max but the high shine of the flat stainless steel chassis attracts fingerprints and people’s attention in the public. Especially in the Graphite model; from videos it seems like it is more shinier due to the lighter shade of grey compared to the Space Grey last year. It would be perfect for me if the chassis was rocking the same brushed finish of the iPhone 4/4S from back in the day. Imagine the brushed SS chassis with the frosted Graphite glass back...it screams INDUSTRIAL!

The battery life also seems to be a step back. I expected Apple to make another leap forward with the battery life, since the 12 series are packing a new 5nm SoC - which is said to be less power consuming. I mean the battery life on the 12PM will still be great but from reviews, it seems like it is a tad bit weaker than the 11PM.

So I guess I’m leaning towards keeping mh 11PM.

I'm upgrading, I want to try the Qualcomm modem I've been struggling with the ip 11 pro max in my area when it comes to LTE and my battery health is at 86%. I ordered the PB 256 IP 12 PM
