I plan to lend my Apple Watch to someone else at the weekend, so they can try it out and see if they find it genuinely useful or not (I suspect that they will…).

Has anyone else tried this yet? I've spent quite a while getting everything set up how I like it, and was wondering if I'd have to re-do it all when I get my Watch back, or if my iPhone would remember and restore all the settings…?

I unpaired last night and upon re-pairing it gave me the option to setup as a new watch or restore from a backup that apparently was created by the app. All good.

Ah nice, thanks for that!

So Apple Watch backs up to iPhone, which then backs up to iCloud. It's like Russian dolls. :)
