I know this was announced late December, but I have not figured out how to add my COVID vaccine card to my Apple Wallet.

Healthvana is one of the apps that is doing this, but they can't act until they get info from LA County, and it's been 10 days since my vaccine and they haven't received anything yet. Have any LA residents had luck with this? (The announced program was for LA residents only, though I know there are other options in other areas.)

PS - PLEASE keep answers relevant to adding vaccine info to Apple Wallet. That's it. If you are an anti-vaxer, I don't care. This isn't for you, spew your thoughts elsewhere. I ONLY want info on how to add the data to my Apple Wallet.

Congratulations on getting vaccinated! I had the first shot last Wednesday.. I hope adding the card to the Apple wallet is offered where I live as it is much more convenient than carrying the actual card around..

Congrats to you too! Yeah I'd love to be able to leave my physical card at home in a safe place, and have a useable alternative. And it seems it's available... but I've only seen it in theory, haven't found anyone who has gotten it to work yet.

I wonder if I take a photo of my CDC vaccination card with my iPhone, would that be acceptable at least until I can get the card into my Apple Wallet?

Dunno. They are suggesting people take photos of their cards, and I sent a pic of mine in to my primary care physician to add it to my records. But still easier to use the wallet app, as opposed to -- weeks from now -- hunting through photos to find it.

Scan it, make a PDF, and put in books, documents collection. When traveling overseas I keep copies of all of my critical information there: passport, yellow fever, etc. Open question as to whether it will be acceptable, but it can't hurt.

I actually received an email congratulating me on my first and second shot. I just flagged it to use as proof. I also carry my card in my wallet. Had it laminated.

Hehehe I prefer this

You can also take a photo of the card and keep it on the phone. That is what I did. Plus I have that actual card in my old fashioned wallet.

You can easily create a Photos album called Vaccination and place it in that album.

I got my shot at the LA County location at the Fairplex... Healthvana sent me an email to create an account, and it has all the details of my vaccinations and let me download a card to my wallet.

Yeah I never replied to this thread, sorry. Original post was from May when vaccines were still new. But yeah, Healthvana eventually sent me the link. Took over 4 months.
