Hey there,

I have a locked iPhone 4.

Is there any legit way to unlock it ?

I've been looking for a website that could do so over the past couple of days, but all of these websites seem to be scam.

Thanks

Depends on your firmware and modemversion

Can be found in settings/general/info

First of all, thanks for answering.

I've got iOS 5.0.1 jailbroken with ultrasn0w installed and a 04.11.08 baseband.

Seems that my baseband is not supported by ultrasn0w, that's why I was talking about a "legit" way to unlock the phone.

What I'm really looking for is a website where I could pay a couple of bucks and get it unlocked, pain free.

There's no unlock for the baseband you're at. Want an unlocked phone? Buy a factory unlocked one.

Nope, AT&T won't, but there are plenty of factory unlocked phones out there.
Factory unlocked means not coupled to any carrier by apple, thats the way the are produced.

Apple sells them at a premium price, hence they are also more expensive used, but well worth the extra money.

Thanks to all of you who answered.

Unfortunately, I cannot call my carrier and ask them to unlock the phone because I bought it on eBay. The guy who sold it to me is not the first owner of the phone either, so there is no chance my carrier will unlock it.

If the phone is on a UK carrier then you only have a contract/pay as you go phone with them for a few months and as long as there able to unlock that version of iPhone they will normally do it for you even if its for a small fee.
