Any luck with Google remembering login?

I use Gmail and other Google services such as Calendars, etc. When I log in, there's a button that says "Remember me on this iphone", but it never does. As soon as I close and reopen the browser, I have to log in again. Anyone found a solution for this?

do you have a jailbroken iphone? i seem to recall certain cookie issues for jailbroken people not being retained due to file/dir permissions being improperly set.
