Any Mac road mapping software?

I'm looking for some app that contains essentially, an entire road map of the US, not a GPS system, or something that requires you to be online, just the maps themselves. I think there was something like this for Windows but I'm not sure, the concept sounds familiar however.

vniow, this is one area in which the OS X software is "not there yet."

I use VPC with Win 2K solely for deLorme mapping programs, which are not perfect but much more mature than Route 66.
