I have a spare magsafe(the previously died one), that I want to attempt rewiring since my current one is heading the same route. No way am I shelling out more $ to Apple for a faulty product.

If I can't find anything I'll make this tread into... well a tutorial how to.

Any help on opening the block/what kind of wire to use ect would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

So what are you plans exactly? I'm confused....

I plan on taking my old magsafe, and dismantle it and rewire the whole thing with new/more durable wiring.

OK. I see.

Well, first off, that is an INSANE undertaking unless you are a professional electrician.

His pics are no longer available, but have you tried contacting this guy?

This may help to.

I don't think that it's worth the risk or the trouble.
