Any Microphone Apps?

Are there any apps out there that allows voice input via a microphone and output through the speakers?

I'm using a MacBook with a conventional microphone hooked up; it is proven useable when tested with Skype. The audio output is connected to my home theatre system, which doesn't support microphone input. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

GarageBand! Turn on "feedback with protection" using one of the real vocals instruments.

Thanks very much! LineIn is the app for me, however i can't seem to get it to pick up on my microphone input. Instead, it uses the macbook in-built microphone. Any help on that?
