Does it matter? It's not like there's any serious bugs that a large percentage of people are encounterring.

Not true. While it's hard to gauge a percentage, there is a SERIOUS bug that is effecting all flavors of the 4s and all carriers worldwide. Upwards of 25% to 40% of placed calls the caller cannot hear the phone rininging nor the party called once they answer the phone. Pretty serious issue, especially when the phone is used in a business environment.

I myself have had two 4s with the same issue and at the Apple store I took mine back to (2nd return was yesterday) and when I asked my Genius how many may have been returned to his store he said "I'm thinking maybe two dozen"..

This thread at Apple.com started on Oct 17th and now has 59 pages

There are a few other threads on the same issue.

That explains what's been happening to my phone and I thought my carrier was messing up.

I read apple have held back the next update which is designed to further fix the battery issue on the iPhone 4s due to some form of memory leak with it.
