I have an Ipad 2 and a Mifi unit. I had the Ipad 1 with 3G but sold it. I had the Motion GPS on the 3G one and I just tried to put it on my Ipad 2 but no go. Are there any of the Navigation apps that do not require 3G but will work with mifi? I have looked but I did not see any that tell you. I do not want to pay $50 for something that will not work.

Navigon MobileNavigator and CoPilot Live are 2 navigation apps that contain all map data within the apps and do not require a data connection to download any additional map data (though they do require a data connection to download any traffic data).

While these apps will still work with your iPad, they won't offer a precise lock on your location since the Wi-fi-only iPad lacks a GPS chip. I've heard that a Wi-Fi-only iPad can get true GPS data when tethered to an iPhone but I've never tested that myself.
