I accidentally my whole location.
Recently I've been finding myself acquiring more and more cans of nectar drinks from the market, Kern's is a popular brand and there's several other less known ones that are just as good but all in all I'm liking them a lot. Only problem is they make my throat dry so I end up drinking more. They're also good when I'm making a smoothie type drink (whenever I can grab hold of fruit and a blender) and if you get the right flavour it just makes it taste more fruity (yum). I've also found out than when mixed with other kinds of drinks they certainly add to the taste depending on what you're mixing but its one of my favourite types.

So anyone else into this stuff or am I forever a loner?

I love the Hero juices in Peach, Guava, and Pear. They're the best IMO. They look like this, I could only find a picture of banana though.

I also really like Philippine Mango juice. I get them in cans of 24 at Costco for 9.99 :D

I like Kerns too. Especially the Hawaiian fruits, mango and guava, but not papaya. I also like apricot, peach, and pear. Overall, guava is #1, apricot #2.

I buy a nectar drink that says it's 35% real fruit puree. Tastes great, even if it's not 100%. It's cheap as well. A 1 litre bottle only costs me around $1.90 AUD, or around $1.35 USD.

Yum. I love Kern's. I grew up on that stuff. But why is it that when I drink fruit drinks, I get a weird thick filmy feeling in the back of my throat?

Kern's guava... or the passion fruit/guava-ish mix. Umm, I think that's it. It's been a looong time since I've had them.

Give the director a serpent deflector
a mudrat detector, a ribbon reflector
a cushion convector, a pitcher of nectar *
a virile dissector,a hormone collector...

Whatever you do, take care of your shoes! :p

Aha! That's one of the other brands I was thinking of, you can get them around here for about 50¢ a can. Gotta love the Mexican markets in the Mission.

50 cents?!?!? Your getting ripped off! The stuff is like 25 cents a can here and was cheaper in Mexico!!

but ohhhhhh so good:D

i love mango nectar!!!! :D :D :D :D

especially Drysdale but actually does'nt matter what the brand is...

I love it myself. Most of the flavors. The only problem is that I can't drink them anymore. They're loaded with calories and what people forget to do when they watch what they eat is also watch what they drink. With two cans and a burger you can easily exceed 1000 calories and still be hungry for at least another meal. But ohhhh how I miss the mango!

heh. i'm drinking the mango one right now! i saw it at the store this morning and i thought of MR and i had to get it. yummm. it's funny how it's so many calories. you'd think it's safe because it's fruit, but no.

Hehe...this would be the perfect thread to reveal that I really am a hummingbird, pecking a way one key at a hovered time.

But, that would be a bit too astonishing. All in good time.

i'm in love with kern's mango nectar, and only mango (for some reason).

every time i spot some and i'm in the mood to buy, i buy like half a dozen of those big plastic bottles or the half gallon cartons or like a huge thing of the smaller cans and drink them all that same day :p

I've been known to drink a Kern's drink every now and then. Find them quite yummy, but tend to opt for the less expensive homemade juices or not-from-concentrate OJ you can get in bulk at Costco or Sam's.
