Any new status re the WiFi/LTE issue?

Has Apple posted their position vis-à-vis the WiFi-LTE issue, i.e., what are they doing to resolve the situation and what is their target date for problem resolution? Or, is this just the way it’s going to be, at least until new models are released?

That the problem & fix is not trivial is understandable, that we are being ignored is not!

Please post if you have data/status I do not. I would love to apologize if I am wrongfully faulting Apple.

FWIW and for those of may have missed it: The 12.1.1 update fixes a problem that could cause excessive skin-smoothing when using the front-facing camera on the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR, and it addresses LTE connectivity issues on those same devices.
