Any nice Gmail notifier for Safari?

Hi all,

First-time poster here, so please excuse any lame behaviour.

In the last few weeks I've been progressively switching from Chrome to Safari, and that is mainly because of Safari's sensitive lower battery use.

So far the migration has been ok, however the only feature that I really miss is a Gmail notifier for Safari. In Chrome I use "Checker Plus for Gmail", which is awesome, but so far I haven't found anything remotely similar for Safari.

Do you guys know any good replacement for that extension?

However I must say I greatly prefer Chrome as my favorite primary browser across all my smartphones, tablets and computers. Especially good on my MBPr and Surface Pro 4, Nexus 6P, iPhone 6S Plus and iPad Pro, I use Chrome 99% of the time.

Thanks for the tip, but I have more than one Google account and I'd rather find a free solution...
