any non-apple routers work with Time Machine?

Hey guys,
i know i may be in the wrong place for this question, but i can't find the place. My question is simple: I would like to know if there are any routers out there except for the Airport products that support Time Machine with an external HDD.

Do you know any specific models? i know that a USB port is not enough, i believe it needs to have NAS?
