starting this morning, for some reason my iphone suddenly stops recognizing my SIM card and says "NO SIM CARD" message, and I have to turn it off and then back on in order for it to recognize the sim card. This has happened over 6 times just today. I've had the phone since the release, It hasn't been dropped or anything!! anyone else experiencing this?

I was on the same boat, went in and exchanged for a new one, no more issues.

that sucks, can I just walk in or did you guys have to make a "genius" bar appointment or did you just walk in?

I dont have an iPhone 4G
Just an iPhone 4

..in all seriousness, i have not

I brought mine to the Genius Bar for this, they didn't exchange it -- removed the sim, blew compressed air inside, "cleaned" the sim with a wipe, and sent me on my way.

To be fair, it hasn't happened in the four days since...

I wonder if I should wait it out till mid July and use it as an excuse to exchange the phone for a white one?

Just a note to others, as I found this searching for my "NO SIM" error message the other day.

I have an iPhone 4 and noticed a small scratch on the back, after about a week. So I went to get a ZAGG shield, but they only had a front protector. I saw the Elan leather snap case and got that.

Then I start getting the NO SIM error messages, multiple times a day.

Took it out and haven't had a NO SIM message in several days.

Looking at the case, it has a snap for the flap right over the SIM tray. Probably a magnetic closure to boot...
