Any one else having trouble with the LG Monitor

Every time I plug my LG Monitor into my Late 2016 MBP, my Late 2016 MBP crashes. I'm like WTF?! What's going on. Has anyone else had this problem or understand what's going on?

Not hijacking but I've got a similar thing where my 2016 15" crashes quite frequently whenever I plug in an old TV via HDMI. I've put it down to it matching the display resolution (Which is like 1334x740 or something) and some software I have open (Such as CC) causing it to crash.

Have you noticed any particular trend or is it just literally plugging in the HDMI?
