Hi so i am on tesco mobile with my iphone 3g's, i was looking on my bill online and it say that i have used 741 gprs, how much is that on megabites.

any help please

Heres what you have to do. This is the response I got when I emailed them about this.

Thank you for e-mailing support@tescomobile.com

I’m sorry you find your unbilled data usage confusing. I can appreciate how frustrating this must have been for you.

Currently to work out your unbilled data usage into MB you need to multiply the figure before the colon by 60 then divide it by 1024, then add the figure which shows after the colon. For example:

Usage shows as 6173:22

6173 x 60 = 370380 divide this by 1024 = 361.699

361.699 + 22 = 383.699

This shows that you have used 361MB and 699 Kb

I’m pleased to tell you that we are currently waiting our engineers putting an update in the system which will show the unbilled usage in a clear and easy to read format. In the meantime I apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and thank you for your continued patience.

So for you with 741 is

741 x 60 = 44460 divide this by 1024 = 43.41

This shows that you have used 43MB and 410Kb.

I got this response on the 21st July and they still have not updated their systems, and think it will be a while longer. I wish they had an app for this which showed it in clear bars, how much you have used and how much to go, for both calls and data.

Hope that helps

Yeah tescomobiles system for web usage is stupid, they need a better system to monitor, if you give them a phone call though, for some reason they can tell you straight away how much you've used.
