Any one using Foottrack or alternatives ?

I have beed trying this out and it seems very good. My question is before I spend the $50 U.S (which I think is very reasonable) are there any other alternatives ?

The main use I want it for is to be able to capture fotage that I can use in iMovie 06 and if needed in Final Cut Express without having to import it again .

Also I like the fact I can just import tape after tape whilst I am doing other things and then put them easily into variuos projects.
