Everyone has been talking about a tweak for getting back launchpad but does any option give that option that also has folders so i can categorize my apps ?

Really miss that feature

Put the apps in whatever folders you want in the Finder within the Applications folder and then drag the Applications folder to the dock and set it to grid mode.
The OG (pre Lion) style 😌

Also, OP, I’ve seen some people using some kind of a hack to bring Sequoia UI back. I hope someone who knows how to do that chimes in, but I don’t know how long will that hack work.

I tried this but 3 issues maybe you could share some work around :

1. Copied firefox and added in folder and lost all data of firefox and it acted as new install. Had to copy it back to non folder standard to get back all the settings

2. Folders dont show whats its inside like launchpad did

3. Apples apps dont go in the folder instead just create shortcuts

Thank you for your help

I have had this for years. I create a folder "Dock" in my home folder. In it I have a variety of collections like "Productivity," "Audio," "Music," "Games,' etc - folders filled with aliases for apps in those categories. They all live in my Dock on the right side.
I set them to Grid mode.

This is disappointing since I do use Launchpad and have read some rumors to that effect. One or two sites talked about bringing it back via Terminal but that's a little too technical for me. Does "home folder" mean making a new file on one's desktop with various sub-folders for the categories (soon to be) formerly in Launchpad? Thanks

With the alias-in-folder method", an app can be in more than one category!
