I'm looking to get a Macbook Pro unibody hard anodized in black or natural gray. Are there any shops or private hobbyists who do this including proper disassembly and reassembly? Colorware doesn't count because they just do paint.

i would imagine if you can completely stripped the laptop, you can send the aluminum body it to any anodizing specialist.

Yeah I'm kinda just looking for a one stop place for now who can do the disassembly and reassembly and anodization. The reassembly is a bit tricky on the current MBPs.

Or I'll just have to find 2 different vendors.

Anyone know a place in Los Angeles that can do a full reassembly? Especially the screen using new parts if they have to?

Check out Colorware.com I think they Anodize too, but not %100 sure. There also expensive.

Pretty sure the screen is glued together and can't be disassembled, so I doubt you'd be able to get that half of your MBP anodised

Edit. Ifixit broke their's when taking it apart. https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/MacBook+Pro+Retina+Display+Teardown/9493

The glass is glued and is very difficult to remove without breaking it but luckily the glass isn't an expensive part and there are lots of vendors selling replacement glass so even if you break it taking it off like ifixit did you can simply buy a new replacement part. Its a sacrificial part.
