I know there were certain issues with the legislature outlawing certain types of poker/poker sites. I'm just wondering if any sites are still operational where one could play for real money? Also, do any of them have a Mac side client, or would I have to use Parallels? Thanks guys!

Playing online never gets you $$$s, you lose it instead with all of the bots that people have set up

You have a better chance going to a casino then trying to win against a computer.

You play other people online. I have friends whose income every month is strictly from playing poker online. If you're good and understand the game it can be rewarding.

I play at full tilt... I've cashed out a couple times- they have pretty decent turnarounds. If you need to know anything just send me a PM.

To answer your original question, there is no such thing as "legal" online gaming within the US. As I'm sure you know the only reason these poker sites exist is because they're registered (most of them, at least) in the caribbean. I'm sure the government could still come after you for gambling online if they really wanted to, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Technically there are workarounds of somesort that you can gamble, but the owners are in the wrong. I read something on it a while back, I'll try to find it.
