Any places where you can rent a Mac

Where are you located? Independent Apple Authorized Resellers often have this as an option, you can search for one using Apple's locate tool. I'd find a few independents (not Best Buy, Radioshack, etc) and call them to find out if they rent out Macs.
What program, exactly? And what is the business requirement? There are very few professional software packages that do not have Windows versions these days.
If someone else is in charge, then they should buy you a Mac!
A basic MacMini is very cheap (US $599) and very capable. You would be able to offset the capital expenditure against tax in many countries.
