OK, so the dust has settled after the iPad 2 release. I'm not so impressed that I'm going to ditch my original iPad that is less than a year old. But I would like a camera (webcam) to plug into it so that I might be able to video-skype or similar. There have been one or two signs that cameras were in development but they either disappeared into the ether or were clearly abandoned. Does anyone have any information or ideas? Is it Apple who have prevented any workable products or is it just too difficult technically?

And where on the iPad do you plan on plugging in this camera?

Honestly what kind of question is that. How about it plugs into the only port on an iPad that isn't for headphones????

If you were trying to make a point you should have thought through your argument a little better.

OP my guess is the webcams that were destined to work with the camera connection kit USB port were rendered useless with the iOS4 update that lowered USB power supplied.

Good luck on your search though.
