Hi all,

I am a MobileMe subscriber with an MBP laptop. I also use Mail.app on the Mac, iPhone and MobileMe Mail on the web for all my e-mailing needs.

Question: Is there any reason to store my mail ONLY locally and not have acopy on the Server as well - apart from being paranoid which I'm not.

Currently I have several folders and sub-folders stored only on my Mac. Instead - what I would now like to do is to move all mail to the MobileMe folder(s) in Mail.app on my Mac.

Are there any drawbacks to this? My understanding is that Mail.app caches all the messages stored on the Server on the Mac so I would have a back-up of the e-mail.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Is there a memory/storage limit that you might run into? I'm thinking that some messages with large attachments you might want to keep only locally, assuming you want to keep them as opposed to saving attachments and deleting message.
