Hey there, I'm upgrading to snow leopard in a few days when my DVD gets here in the mail. I have some free time this evening and would like to start moving my music collection to this iMac and stop using my hp laptop. Is there any reason I can't start doing that? New to mac and have never upgraded an osx before... just curious. I have no idea what that process will be.

Thanks!

You can do that when ever you want with your current version of iTunes. When your Snow Leopard disc arrives, install it and then update iTunes to 11.4. You should then also update to 10.9 if your machine supports it.

Thank you!! Yes my machine supports it, I believe just barely... I guess I'll start moving the music in.

Does everyone generally keep the music on an external?
