I have been trying for months to get Neutraface font working on iOS 4. I have found numerous downloads of the font, which consist of Helvetica.ttc files that you are supposed to put in System/Fonts/Cache, but this does nothing at all. I have also tried dropping them in just plain System/Fonts, again this does nothing at all. Is it simply not possible to do this? From Google I keep finding threads that explain this is the way to get the font working, but it doesn't work at all. Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong or how to make it work?

If you're on 4.2.1 or above the fonts have to be named _H_Helvetica.ttc and _H_HelveticaNeue.ttc. Just backup your originals

Edit: you could also download Bytafont, package the properly named fonts into a folder and call it Neutraface.font and drop it into /var/mobile/library/MyFonts and select it in Bytafont if you want to be able to restore the originals back. Or more easily swap fonts.
