I currently have a Samsung 245bw 24" that puts out 1900x1200. I was looking into getting a HP W2338H 23-Inch to run with it side by side. Problem is it puts out 1920 x 1080p. Will this be a problem with the two different resolutions, 1900x1200 on one and 1920 x 1080 on the other at the same time? I have a MP with a GTX285. Will I have to run the same resolution on both monitors? Thanks and sorry for the dumb q's. This is my first time trying to setup two monitors... :eek:

Not a problem..

I don't see why that should be a issue...

My quite new mac mini drives both a 24" Dell 1920x1200 and an old Samsung at 1280x1024; no problems.

Monitor setup

By the way, the 'setup' is trivial.

Run System Preferences => Displays;
a window appears on each monitor with resolutions supported by that monitor.
You set the resolution you want on each, independently.

I've attached a snapshot across both monitors (actually from a remote MBP using Screen Sharing to see the Mini's displays)
