I'm a long time mac user who is looking to buy an imac.

I've been offered a 24" white imac (2.13, 500gb, 7600gt) for £650. The item is around 18 months old with no applecare. The item is not only in mint condition, but also in perfect working order.

Are there any issues on this particular model of imac that I should know about? Anything similar to the lines that appeared on G5 imacs just outside the warranty period, or any other known out of warranty issues with this model?

Any help or first-hand experience is appreciated.

Re: Any problems with white 24" imac after 2 years?

No problems with mine. I just upgraded my 24" white iMac to 3GB RAM, and it came with 500gig disk. Upgraded from Tiger to Leopard, and I expect to upgrade to Snow Leopard in due course. Note that if you put in 4GB RAM, you'll only be able to use 3.3GB of it. Very happy with mine! It's a gorgeous computer (and matte screen! :)

go for it. those 2006 iMacs are trouble free. I have the 20" version from the same line of iMacs and it's the most flawless desktop i have ever used. yours will only be better. and white looks so much better than aluminum ;)
