Jul 21, 2011 #1 Just got notified of big safari upgrade today.Ive been running all software upgrades since bought new imac in Dec.I use firefox and am happy with snow leopard so any reason to run the safari upgrade?Why take up space if I dont need this stuff?

Apple Mail uses WebKit to show emails, since many emails are html. And if you're worried about the space that a software update will take, you need a bigger hard drive.
