Any recommendations for an external DVD burner?

My iMac superdrive has finally died. Will not take in any discs. I don't want to open up the iMac and replace the drive. I'm leaning towards an external DVD burner. Many burners out there are not compatible with Macs. The one that worked for me in the past was a plextor. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have 2 Samsung slim dvd burners I use with my macbook when burning large quantities of dvd's with absolutely no problems. Here is the white tray loading version, but it comes in other colors and I have their slot loading one as well:

I heard that these use up TWO USB slots. Is that true?
