I really like a minimalistic and slim case. The main part of the protection I care about is no scratches on the back of the phone so protection from dropping isn't as high on my list as the slim and magsafe part. I really do like the Spigen Liquid Air case and that WOULD be my choice if it had magsafe.

Any recommendations on a slim case with magsafe?

I'm like you, don't care about protection from drops. Can't go wrong with the Apple Silicone or Leather cases. If getting one of these, I'd recommend a leather one since they last longer. My XS is still rocking a 3-year-old leather case.
