any reliability issues 20" core 2 duo

thinking about getting one. i know that some had problems with vertical lines on the 17" model but any widespread problems on the 20" one? or the 24" if i decide to go that far. programs to be used are chrome, dvd player, itunes and toast in 10.6.8. just want one of those ugly white ones.

The 20" inch and the 17" seem to have the same problems if it is an 2006 - early 2007 model. So you would have the possibility of overheating and lines on the screen.What I did to decrease the possibility of those incidents is download smcfancontrol and increased the rpm on my fans and the problems would normally go away.

thanks. i've also been doing a little research and have decided that it's probably best to stay away from all 2006 imacs. i have other options.

Well no matter what we're talking about a 7 year old computer.

I wouldn't go into it expecting to get another 7 years that's for sure.
