Other Any rumors about iPhone 17 battery?

Whenever I look this up I am seeing only leaks about the iPhone Air.

Either there haven’t been (possible) or the hype over the Air is crowding out everything else.

But I wonder if anyone knows if there are any leaks about the rest of the lineup?

Would be curious if there’s a chance the upcoming Pro or regular 17 will have improvements over this and last generation.

Yeah, I wanted the base level 17 and also the 17 Pro (not just Pro Max).

My personal decision will be between 17 and 17 Pro, if I choose to upgrade.

If you want maximum life, get a Pro or Pro Max.

Too bad, no more Plus models which I love the best (lighter weight, more battery life).

I am getting the new battery chemistry silicon anode battery 17 Air for the weight reason since I carry a heavy Pro Max for work on my belt as well....

Your money would very likely be better spent on a new battery for your 15 Pro. Battery life improvements are merely incremental from generation to generation and with newer iOS versions and new features like Apple Intelligence these small gains will be eaten up. There is a reason why your 15 Pro doesn't have substantially better battery life than for a 13 Pro and for the same reason a 17 or 17 Pro won't improve much either.

Of course a new 17 or 17 Pro will give you better battery life instantly because it's got a fresh battery. And you can get that for your 15 Pro for a much lower price. If you don't mind the weight you can add the new anker maggo 5k nano power bank with Magsafe that is barely thicker than the camera island. From my experience with it the magnets are strong enough that it won't slip off accidentally and it recharges roughly 50% which isn't much but it's much cheaper than buying a new iPhone.

I wonder why none of the manufacturers of these new silicone carbon batteries make a replacement battery for the old iPhone 13/14 Pro/Pro Max models with a capacity increased to, let's say, 5000 mAh (If I remember correctly, it was said that thanks to the new SiCa technology, the batteries will have up to 30% more capacity with the same size....)
that would make iphone 13 pro max a two day phone

Retrofitting a newer battery chemistry into an old phone won't work with the change in charge cycles, BMS and thermal constraints.
Sort of like the old days when people use to swap out their NiCd batteries with NiMH.

considering that the 16 and 16 Pro had a identical battery my guess is over 4000 mah considering the 16e battery is 4005 mah and of course Apple will want the 17/17 Pro lineup to have a better battery than the E lineup.

also adaptive power mode must be on when iOS 26 comes out for even better battery life

Hope that is true! I been preferring my 16e over my 15 pro lately due to battery life, so if the 17 pro has equal or better than the 16e I will definitely upgrade.

If there were any significant changes in battery capacities then all manufacturers would take advantage of that and not even just smartphone manufacturers. Smartphone battery life hasn't significantly changed in the past few years hence my assumption that the new iPhones will at most see minor improvements similarly to going from the iPhone 15 series to the 16 series.
