Kind of unsure if I should go for the new 2020 rMBP w/ 16GB RAM at $1599 ($200 off) from Best Buy or just Amazon myself the 16" 2020 rMBP 2019 model for $2099.

What makes me hold off either option, is the possibility of a new 2020 16" rMBP w/ 10th gen CPUs and ideally 802.11ax since my Meraki MR36 AP is WiFi 6, getting 600-700mbps on wifi over iperf and smb transfers is awesome.

When I google around for rumors all I see is for the 14" rMBP w/ ARM CPU, which I am not interested in.

If you know Apple's history, they usually have two events in the fall. The first to announce the latest iPhone. iPad and Apple Watch - to coincide with the public release of the related OS's. And then either another event or big announcement on their site for updated hardware.

I would hazard to guess this year they will either combine both or have a special event to announce the latest MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon and the release of Big Sur.

Me personally - I'm waiting to see what's announced first before buying any new hardware.
