Any rumors of Shortcuts app coming to macOS?

I've recently become a fan of the Shortcuts app on iOS. Does anybody know if there's been rumors of Apple bringing this app to macOS?

I'm not sure what the Shortcuts app could bring to macOS that Automator can't already do.

Well control of homekit devices for one... We have the home app on Mac which is a great help in my office, but to have shortcuts as well would be a much neater solution in my office than having to have a secondary iPad open all the time on my desk.
