Hey all,

I'm finally upgrading my Mac. Within the next month or so I plan on getting a new Macbook Pro (not sure what size yet). And I'd like to get a scanner to go with it, but I don't know anything about them. So any help would be appreciated. I do have a few requirements, though.

1) It has to be fairly big. 18 by 14 would be nice, although bigger wouldn't be a problem.

2) I'm an illustrator (at least aspiring), so color sensitivity and accuracy are absolutely necessary.

3) I don't want to "overscan". We have scanners at my school that I use, but they always make my illustrations look muddy and dirty. They just seem to sensitive. I always have to spend at least an hour to two cleaning up the scans to make them look like the physical copy. Now, I expect a certain amount of this tweeking, but less would be better.

So if any of you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
